Travelarks : Rajgad trek - Tent camping & Star gazing
Rajgad, the king of the forts is surely one of the best forts in terms of architecture, scenic beauty and the panoramic view that it offers. Not to forget the nostalgic historical significance that associates with the fort. It surely is one of the best treks in Sahyadri.

What we have got?
To meet this special fort, we have got some special events to make this a memorable one.
* Rajgad trek
* Camping: Tented accommodation 4500+ feet
* Bonfires and camaraderie session
* Star gazing with experts and necessary equipments (binoculars / telescopes)

Itinerary:

Meeting point -
Swami Narayan Temple, near Dada railway station, Dadar (E) at 10.30 PM on Friday, 27th Nov '09.

Schedule -
Day 0 - Leave from Mumbai

Day 1
Reach Pune at dawn - Mumbai-Pune Asiad bus
Jeep transit to the base village - Gunjavane
Breakfast at Gunjavane
Trek to fort Rajgad
Rest
Lunch
Sight seeing - Sanjeevani Machi & Balekilla
Evening tea, sunset admiration
Dinner
Star gazing session - peep through the binocs / telescopes and give an ear to what the experts say!
Bonfires & gupshup

Day 2
Early start
Tea & breakfast
Suvela machi visit
Wrap us & descent
Head back to Pune
Lunch
Reach Mumbai by Asiad bus by 9.00 PM

Expenses - Rs 950 per person

All the food & refreshments during the duration of the trek

Checklist -
A good rucksack
Change of clothes, towels, napkins and other clothing as needed
Water bottle - 1 litre atleast
Torch with spare batteries
Warm clothes - woollens, sweaters, shawls
Bedding - Sleeping bags, pullovers, chaddars, bedsheets
Shoes & change of socks
Plate, spoon, glass
Personal medication if any
Optional - Camera / Handy cams / Binoculars

Avoid unnecessary valuable or heavy cash.
