Bandhavgarh is a national park with a long history. It used to be Game park for Maharaja of Rewa. Situated in the Vindhya hills of Madhya Pradesh with an area of 168 sq miles (437 sq kms) it contains a wide variety of habitats & high density of wild animals, including a large number of Tigers & Leopards. Bandhavgarh National Park has a wide range of wildlife (35 species of mammals) other than Tiger, which includes Chinkara, Nilgay, Chousinga, Jackal, Fox, Sambhar, Chital, Leopards, Jungle Cats, Hyenas, Porcupines, Ratels. Har ki Dun Trek is situated in the Western Garhwal Himalayas, at the base of Fateh Parvat. This cradle shaped valley, South-east of Jaundar glacier is surrounded by dense forests of pine, deodar and other coniferous trees. It is totally covered by a blanket of blue and purple flowers. The surrounding forest is rich in wild life and exotic birds and forms part of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park. Bedni Bugyal (High altitude grass, meadow) is one of the finest meadow in India.
